Morpheus welcomes painter Jota Leal as its Cinema Watch
ambassador. Master painter Jota Leal specializes in transformative portraiture.
His subjects cover a wide range of celebrities and historical figures, all
rendered expertly and with a wonderful twist of imagination. Jota’s love of
film is evident in his array of paintings featuring such as Al Pacino
Scarface, Clint Eastwood The
Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
, Boris Karloff Frankenstein, Marlon Brando The
Godfather
, Peter Lorre M, and
many more. Jota’s works may be found at
www.jotaleal.com.
We are very excited to have such a talented artist representing our Cinema
Watch.
I really love the
design of The Cinema Watch. It reminds me of classic films and the great deco period
of film and design aesthetics. The Cinema conveys the passion for the subject
of film, without becoming kitsch in any way. It’s an elegant and powerful
design. Combine that with the solid build, sapphire crystal, and ETA automatic
movement, and it’s all I could want in a timepiece
.--Jota

JUNE/2009:
Morpheus Fine Watches launches The Culinary. After many months of design conceptualization, computer visualization and intensive manufacturing steps, the first fine timepiece from Morpheus is here. The Culinary is a totally custom watch, from the case down to the unique hands on the dial, everything was born from the creative team (one, a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu) at Morpheus and gradually realized through an exhaustive fabrication process. Only the highest quality parts and materials have been used, from the complex Swiss ISA alarm movement, to the super hard sapphire crystal protecting the dial. This is our first effort and we are quite pleased with it. The Culinary sets the firm foundation for the expansion of our line.
